Her team finished fourth in the 1978 Class AA (large schools) State Tournament when there were only two classes. During high school, she was selected to the All City Team and also trained and played for two seasons with the Mid-America Junior Training Team that was part of the USVBA Development Program. She received a full athletic scholarship for volleyball and attended Division I Western Illinois University where she played for four years as a middle hitter. During law school at the University of Missouri she continued to play club volleyball. After moving back to Illinois, she played club for many years in Chicago with her former college teammates. She began coaching at the middle school level where she ran the Cathedral School program. She became involved at the high school level midway through the 2008 season, where she was one of the interim varsity coaches at Sacred Heart-Griffin (SHG). Beginning in 2009, she remained on SHG's staff as the Junior Varsity Coach and maintained that position through 2012. Beginning in the fall of 2013, she accepted the position of Assistant Varsity Coach, assisting Head Varsity Coach, Sandy Hamilton through four successful seasons. She remains in that capacity at this time. During the 2015-2016 Club season, she assisted Coach Hamilton with the Springfield Elite 12 Us in their successful campaign.
